Purple Academy

Building systems towards sports for all

Blind Golf is recognised internationally.

This initiative strives to train blind golfers in India to compete internationally and promote the inclusion of blind golf as an officially recognised paralympic sport. The sport is played following the Rules of Golf set by Royal And Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews (R&A) and the United States Golf Association (USGA) with a few modifications.

A significant obstacle to promoting the sport nationwide is the limited access to golf courses where individuals with vision disability can learn and develop their skills to excel in the sport. Inaugurated in 2023, Purple Academy aims to boost blind golf’s recognition on a national and international level and offer a suitable platform for aspiring golfers to showcase their talents.
